Congratulations to our Diddy League Team who won the Cumbria Diddy League Grand Final on Sunday 30th September at The Pools in Carlisle.

We had a fantastic start, winning the first two events. There were some extremely close finishes, with fractions of a second parting five teams in one particular event.

The final result was a magnificent first place to City of Carlisle with 194 points, followed very closely by Barrow who took 2nd place with 190 points and Kendal in 3rd place with 163 points. Ulverston finished 4th with 157 points, 5th were Copeland with 106 points and Workington in 6th place with 92 points.

The team captains, Emily Richardson and James Henderson collected the trophies and following tradition, the whole team paraded around the pool to a loud applause from spectators and the other teams.

Well done to all our swimmers and a big thank you to the Diddy League coaches: Muriel Moffat, David Richardson and Kevin Hull who have given so much time and effort in training the Junior Competetive Team!
