City of Carlisle ASC has recently become the first club in Cumbria to achieve the Swim21 Accreditation award. Swim21 Accreditation is a 'Quality mark', which recognises nationally and regionally the clubs that are committed to providing safe, effective and quality services for the benefit of their members.
It is a fantastic achievement, and was only possible thanks to much hard work and effort by several members of the committee and coaching staff. Thanks in particular go to our club secretary, Sue Glendinning, who gave up many hours of her spare time to collate all the information required by the ASA.
The photo below shows our chairman and secretary, Bill and Sue Glendinning being presented with the Award by Neil Booth, ASA North-West Region president, at the County Age Groups in Carlisle on Sat 24th March.
