Congratulations to 5 of our swimmers who competed at the recent North West Region Age Group Championships. The event took place over 2 weekends, at the Manchester Aquatics Centre.

Jack Richardson won two silver medals: in the 100m breaststroke in a time of 3.22.18 and also in the 100 breaststroke in 1.32.67. (10 year old boys events)

James Henderson finished 4th in the final of the 100m breaststroke (11 year old boys event), in a time of 1.28.61. James also came 5th in the final of the 11 yr old boys 100m backstroke, finishing in 1.21.14. He also competed in 3 other events, 200m backstroke, 200m IM and 200m breaststroke.

Well done also to Jack Barker on reaching the final of the boys 13 yr old 100m breaststroke. Jack came in 6th place in a time of 1.20.83.

Ashleigh Backhouse finished 4th in the final of the 11 yr old girls 200m butterfly, in 2.53.32 and she also competed in the 200m freestyle and 100m butterfly.

Well done also to Charlie McSkeane who qualified for 8 events in total (boys 10 yr old). Charlie reached the final in 2 events, finishing in 6th place in the 400m freestyle in 5.40.59 and 7th in the 100m freestyle (1.14.93). Charlie also competed in the 200 freestyle, 100m and 200m breaststroke, 100m and 200m backstroke, and 200m IM.
