Well done to Laura Huggon and Shiona Hattle who competed at the recent Scottish National Short Course Championships at Tollcross, Glasgow. Both girls had some fantastic swims, and broke 6 club records between them.
Laura broke the 50m freestyle record in 27.84 seconds and finished in 10th place in the 'A' final. She broke the 200m backstroke record in a time of 2.28.71 coming 5th in the B final and also claimed the 100m backstroke record in 1.05.70, finishing 7th in the A final. Laura also swam in the 100m Individual Medley (1.11.90). Congratulations also go to Laura on gaining a NQT (National Qualifying Time) in the 100m backstroke!
Shiona also broke 3 club records: for 100m butterfly in 1.05.69, coming 6th in the A final; the 200m Individual Medley in 2.25.45 (4th in the B final); 200m freestyle in 2.07.25 and finishing 1st in the B final. Shiona also swam in the 50m freestyle (28.55), 100m freestyle (59.86 - 4th in the B final), 100m IM (1.07.89 - 10th in the A final) and 50m butterfly (30.59 - 8th in the A final).
